First of all, ask your obgyn. Don't fool around with asking on Yahoo.

Having said that, it could be round ligament pain, which is common with a growing belly.

    First of all, congratulations!

Sharp or sudden & unusal pain can't be a good sign no matter how small it may seems! For your own and baby's sake, visit your doctor ASAP and discuss this matter. This is too important question for you to just rely on public's help. We can't be completely sure what is causing the pain and it is not safe for you to just rely on our answers.

I hope it will turn out to be nothing more than a common stomache. But you should visit your doctor nonetheless just make sure of it.

    Best of luck to you.

First of all i would say see your doctor but it could be the ligaments stretching. I too had sharp pains, saw the doctor but it turned out that everything was fine. Your uterus is growing to support your baby. Everything is stretching which in turn will cause pain and discomfort. If you are ever concerned see your doctor.
