Does anyone remember a children's cartoon set on a island?

Here's what I remember about it, apart from the island setting:

- It was on BBC One, so I persume it was a British cartoon. It might not necessary have been I suppose.

- It would have aired in the late 1980s or early 1990s.

- The theme tune reminded me of Black Lace's "Agadoo". I have no idea if it was actually that, or if it was just similiar.

Does anyone have any ideas what it was? I'm sure once I see the name, or I can see any images associated with it, I can say "This is it!"

Update:

the_fallen_broken_angel: The above is all I remember. Sorry.

Kiri: That's about 10 years too late.

LondonLou: I searched and couldn't find anything. The name sounds kind of familiar; I'll keep searching for it.

Purple: Nope. I searched. That's not it, never heard of it. It was entirely a cartoon. And again, about 10 years too late.

Update 2:

I found it! It was called "Ovide Video".

It was actually made in the Netherlands in 1987 with 65 episodes. The characters were all animals.

Does anyone remember it now?!

Update 3:

LondonLou, I just reread your answer! OMG! You were so close... I have to give you the points!

was it odee video? or Opee video?

It had a character on it that always had earphones on, and there was some kind of race going on in the credits and a tower to look out to see!
