Tornado in Leeds?
My husband has family in Leeds, and he saw on bbc.co.uk that there was a tornado on 15/9??
We can not view the video or any link because its restricted to UK persons only, and we live in the states.
And there is a 5 hr time difference so calling is difficult, because we work during the day.
Can someone fill us in please??

Yes tornadoes are becoming quite common in the UK, but they are nothing like the tornadoes you have in the US, they sometimes cause damage to peoples' roof and things like that but nobody is every killed by them or anything.
The one you are talking about was on Thursday the 14th and ripped a tree from the ground, the tree then went down a road and smashed a few car windscreens and the front of a shop. I'm sure your family are perfectly safe.
