What do you think of the Coup in Thailand?
Last night I received e mail from my family and friends in America asking me if I was safe, here I am working in Thailand and didn't even know they had rolled tanks into Bangkok, stopped the TV, stopped the Newspapers and declared Martial Law!

Yeah, the media tend to exaggerate sometimes what goes on in a country. And then, sometimes when the country really needs the attention, they don't really give due credit for that. Basically, the media plays what it wants to the world... regardless of the truth.
I remember when such things happened in my country. My overseas friends thought my country was in turmoil and was wondering if I got caught in the "cross fire"; I was busy shopping just a few blocks from where the 'riot' had been.
I'm surprised for what had happened in Thailand... again.Hope things work out there soon. Since you're there, maybe you can tell us what the real story is over there.

I know some Americans who are there right now vacationing. They are in a rural area. So your point is that they might not even know that this is going on? If they cannot speak the language they may have no clue. They were scheduled to be there for 2 months. I think they have an international cell phone. I will try to have someone contact them.
