Foreigners living abroad... who's laws to abide by?
If foreigners decide to live in another country, should they have to live by that country's laws, or still abide by their own country's laws?

They should have to abide by that countries law but still be able to keep their own culture.
Unless you are talking about the UK where it seems to be OK to have different laws for everyone.

You should abide by the laws of the country that you are living in or visiting.

Do read your questions before publishing them :-)
What is a foreigner living abroad? I presume you mean a national of one country going to live in another.
The answer is simple - you are required to obey the laws of any county you happen to be in at the time, whether living there or just on holiday. After all, if you came from a country where cannibalism is still permitted, you would have to accept that people in say the US or UK might be just a little upset if you tried to eat them (Hannibal take note :-) ).
In the UK, the urban speed limit is 30mph, in Germany, it's 50kph. No good complaining th a UK policeman that you were obeying the German limit (slightly faster). You'll still get booked.

I think without hesitation that if you move to another country you should abide by its laws. Things have gone completely mad in the UK. We have certain parts of the country which are no more than ghettos. In one part of the East End of London there are road signs in two languages for the benefit of those who can't be bothered to integrate and learn English. They walk about in their ethnic clothes and have their mosques. I can't imagine that we'd be allowed to build churches if we went to their country. It's got completely out of control.

I think maybe it would've been a better question if you said,
"foreigners living abroad...who's cultural ways should they stick to?"
Ok, not worded the best way but surely if you want to live in another country, you should live within the cultural ways & vaules of that country. If you don't want to do that & you don't like those cultural ways, you shouldn't live there!

According to Islamic law, they must abide by the laws of the land they choose to live in as long as it does not contradict Islamic law.
Like, if the law of the land states that you must have a shot of vodka and hump a hooker before they let you pass their borders, I don't think Muslims should be going there in the first place. lol.

Do as the Romans do when in Rome. As simple as that. In any tolerant country, they will respect the minority culture. That said, I would stay away from Germany because of the ethnic tension and far-right militant groups. I am not stereotyping, but there's a reason why this is happening. Government policy is hard on immigrants and refugees.
