Hi,
I know that Do Not call list has a lot of problems
so can't count on the service to help completely. I am
sure you already tried that.
One suggestion is change your phone number.
Then get a free voice mail box.
and use that number for everything.
Only give out your new phone number
to those you trust.
Hope that helps!

I have caller id and an answering machine. I only pick up calls that I want to accept. If you have someone repeatedly calling you and harassing you call the phone company and explain it to them. If it's telemarketers that are annoying you I think there's some kind of list that you can put yourself on so they won't call you anymore.

In the UK register with the telephone preference service to take out sales and marketing calls.
Speaking from experience, it has worked for me and cut down the number I get significantly. Also, when they do get through, telling them you have registered with TPS scares the pants off them (because they can be finedfor ringing you) so they put the phone down quickly.
Great stuff!

you can use some call filtering software like "Blacklist" or "Advanced Call register" to filter unwanted calls. They only work on Symbian OS phones.
or
Change your "Call Alert" to group that you want to answer... eg family. friend ... etc. place the unwanted people to a group and deselect this group in your "call alert"....
If your is an older model, allocate his number to group and then allocate the group with a empty ringtone...
The above will make your mobile ring without ringtone, if you don't know it ringing, your mobile will redirect to voice mail.

Most carriers have a Call Block feature. U didn't identify your carrier (ATT, BellSouth, SouthWestern Bell, etc.). Depending on your service package, it would be a nominal fee or included in your package.
