Rust like marks on my refrigerator...?

I had that happen. I live where there is lots of humidity and fridges seem to attract the moisture and rust. The best thing I know to do is to clean the fridge really good and give it a nice even coat of Rustoleum paint. It works wonders! You will never be able to tell you painted it, and it's much cheaper than a new one.

I had the same problem. Went to Home Depot. They sell a sealer, to keep the rust from coming through, and then use a spray appliance paint. My fridge looks like new, two years after doing this. The only problem, fumes. The smell is very strong, you will need to ventilate well.

You have some how removed the paint from those spots.stop scrubbing it, and get ridof the magnets, buy either a can of paint or nail polish in the same colour as the fridge, and touch all thespots with the paint, after gently buffing off the rust.

you're making the situation worse, by covering up the spots with magnets. magnets attract metal and cause rust to spread. they also hold in moisture and spread it through the cracks. try cleaning the rust off with some baking soda on a damp sponge. let sit for a day or two and wipe off with a clean cloth. try and avoid putting magnets back on if you can.

I'm so glad you ask this question as this has happened to my refrigator this summer too. I've been going nuts trying to figure out what to do. The frig works and looks great except for the rust spots all over it. I'm going to try the paint. Can't hurt.

I would try that magic eraser that Mr. Clean puts out. (Even if it doesn't work on that it works on alot of other things and is handy to keep around) If that doesn't work, use the newer Rustolium paints...(make sure you scrape off as much of the rust as possible before doing that) Then use a sealer such as an acrillic based one to prevent it from comming back.

you can paint it with a sealer then some enamel paint....spray it on and shazam looks like new
