    Naive - good point.

It costs over $ 7 in Malaysia.

I guess people do it cos they think it's of better quality, plus it's an expensive brand... it's the same with clothes etc. Materialism has taken over the world.

Tap water isn't always better for you. I know of a pro musician that lost his voice because the tap water in Florida was so contaminated with ocean salt. He HAD to switch to bottled water, and it worked. I will drink out of the tap, but bottled water tastes better than what comes out where I live. I don't buy Evian - I go to the supermarket for that. Even Wal Mart has it now.

Tap water has not been proven to be better for you. It depends on where you live and the quality of the water. I will say that many bottled waters that claim to be from a natural spring are total gimmicks. We buy bottled water but that is because our tap tastes like dirt. We've been told it is safe for consumption but it has an earthy smell and taste to it. Ick!

As for Evian and Naive--that is hardly original.

I don't know where you live, but come to Los Angeles and when you see what our tap water is like you will understand why people will pay for bottled water. Our water is gross, you can literally smell the chlorine/chemicals when it comes out of the faucet. I actually pay to have Arrowhead water deliver my water because I will not drink water from the tap.

Now, in other parts of the country I can understand what you are saying. Back east where my family lives they have private wells underground and the water tastes amazing - I don't need to drink bottled water there.

Tap water in my town taste good. I never could understand buying water when you can drink it right out of your tap.

Even if you have to boil it first it's still cheaper than $2.00 a bottle

I'll never drink tap water. It's nasty to me, and who knows what swims around in it?

Forget $2 or $3 fancy bottles. I'll stick to buying gallons of water. You can get them for as low as 60 cents in some places, and it tastes better to me.

They want to ensure that they're drinking 'natural organic' water. But I'd hate to think what 'unnatural inorganic' water is!

I also know of a farmer who started a business bottling 'natural spring water' from his farm. It was subsequently found out that the water came from the same place where his cattle regularly waded...definitely 'organic' water!!

  • that tap water is better for you comes as no surprise, recent studies have shown 100% of foods tested were contamininated by man made pollutants that have varying levels of toxicity to humans (WWF) ever see the only fools and horses episode where they bottled tap water....
