There is a TV based sales gimmick for a product that is said to "make lenses like new". This is obviously an inflated claim. My question is what is the 'active' ingredient? I would like to venture a guess and say that it is ammonia.

BTW. I have always fixed minor scratches on my glasses with toothpaste. Clean them well first and try it out.

i was helping a friend install subwoofers and an amp in his pacifica today when i did the most idiotic thing i have ever done in my many years of stereo installations.

i traced the driver's side rear door speaker wires to their location inside the cabin peeled back the coating and tested them with a nine volt battery in order to make the speaker pop.. it did. on the passenger side i had a horrible brain fart and thought i knew which wires to use... well.. i was wrong and i couldn't have picked a worse pair. i cut and tested the wires and the charge for the side curtain airbag blew up in my face... not good!! luckily the car does not have side curtain airbags but the light in the dash is permanently on. is this a code? did the explosion either create or break a circuit that i could close / open? if there is anyone who has knowledge of the wiring of this car and could help me out i would be very much abliged!!

i have been installing 12 volt systems for many many years without incident... i can't believe how stupid i was in trying to create a shortcut!! i'm already beating myself up about it enough.. please don't add to the agony. i was installing the speakers as a favor and did not earn any $ for the job.

i tryed to help a friend out and may have caused some serious repurcussions on his lease.

What's the best video editing software I can get for under $100? I need something that will allow me to edit, splice and that is able to work with and convert between all major file types. I would also very much like to capture using the same program. I am using like 4 different programs right now and I absolutely hate working with video because of it. I am just working with home stuff so it doesn't need to be professional grade but I am a perfectionist! Thanks!!

Hi all! I recently purchased an Adaptec Gamebridge (AVC-1400) and the package did not contain the installation CD. Does any one reading this have a Gamebridge? Would they be willing to stream the contents of the CD-ROM to me via Window's Live Messenger or Yahoo IM file sharing? Send me a personal message if you would like to help me out. I want to use the Gamebridge but Adaptec support is a joke and could not offer any help. The retailer will give me my money back but will not swap out the unit. My brother plays counterstrike on my mother's computer. My mother says that ever since my brother started playing that d%mn gameher computer runs real slow. I have an assignment that is due tomorrow using Microsoft Project. I have never worked with this program or heard of it for that matter. I am quite sure that I will become very familiar with Project over the next few weeks. I am currently viewing a tutorial but would like to know if this is a progam I need to purchase or if I might have it as part of Office 2003? Well... at least I am outside of my comfort zone!! No better place to be!!
