Why does all the media refer to violence in Iraq and Afganistan as "secular"? Secular means non-religious.

Who are we trying to kid---it's ALL about religion.

    Relating to or advocating secularism.

I should correct sassified19: The media tries to convince people that every religion except Christianity doesn't kill in the name of God. That's the key, their anti-Christian bias. If the "insurgents" (read: terrorists) in Iraq and Afghanistan were Christian, you would probably hear the media condemning them heavily; then again, if they were truly Christian, they wouldn't be committing acts of terrorism in the first place.

Because the media is still trying to convince the world that people don't kill people in the name of God. Yes, every major religion is performed mass murder in the name of God. Hopefully, people don't believe the hype.
