Try Bar Keepers Friend. It's a cleaning supply for tough jobs, yet it's gentle on your stuff. Follow the directions on the can. It is a powder and comes in a cylinder can like comet. I've been using it for a few years now and it works great!

You can buy a powder that's called Bar Keeper's Friend that works really well. Use steel wool or some other rough sponge or rag to clean it after putting the powder on it.

if you have a big pot you can boil water with some vinegar and put your pot in it or just boil it in the pot and put lids in it

that should loosen anything up But if not you can use bar keepers friend or just baking soda wet

Or salt will get up quite a bit

I use S.O.S pads. The box even shows steel pans and glass pans. It's easy and works great.
