Who here applauds 7-11 for having the guts to tell Hugo Chavez where to put his gasoline?

Convenience store operator 7-Eleven Inc. is dropping Venezuela-backed Citgo as its gasoline supplier at more than 2,100 locations and switching to its own brand of fuel

WE NEED MORE OF THIS TYPE OF BACKBONE IN THIS COUNTRY.......I for one am very proud of 7-11 for taking this approach and now I know where I will be getting my Slurpees from.

I applaud you Sir, for saying so!Who does this tinhorn dictator think he's messing with?We could send a Company of Marines or Infantry and turn his country into a parking lot.The guy has a big Communist mouth and no military to back up his sorry ***.Disrespecting our President in the UN will be the start of his moving towards the dustbin of history.Lets boycott his gas and then ignore his 3rd world shithole country. That will ultimately will be more damaging to this asshole.

Everyone up in arms because chavez called bush the devil.....

This really is the United States of Amnesia....

    1) In 1982 Bob Jones III (fudamentalist christian school) called VP Bush "a devil"

    2) In 2005 Right wing radio host(Jay Severin) called Hillary Clinton "the devil"

    3) Earlier this month - Father Gabriele Amorth (the roman catholic's church top exorcist) called The fictional work of Harry Potter the "king of darkness - the devil"

So lets all get off our "fake" high horse and "fake" moral ground and grow up.

Good for 7-11!! There are not many in my area but I will make the effort to visit them. Yeah, this fat-faced little man from his 3rd world sewer of a country needs to be sent a message loud and clear.

I think 7-11 is making the right decision. It'll be hard on Houston, where Citgo is based, but whatever. Sometimes the sins of the father must be visited on the son.

I think most libs and conservatives probably agree on this issue.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that doing business with an enemy of the country isn't good for the profit margin.

Absolutely. Good for them! Chavez makes me sick. He shouldn't be acting like Venezuela's oil is his own personal property. He got "elected" but he's on his way to becoming a dictator, making his politiical opponents "disappear."

Sounds like a good response from the little I know of the situation.

I think it's only a coincident that their contract is about to expired. Will they drop if it has not been expire any time soon. When it comes to money, it's hard to tell. But I'm glad it did.
