Does anyone else think it's unethical to try to beat speed cameras?

I've seen a website advertising a product that you spray over your number plate so speed cameras won't catch you. I think this is a terrible idea. The speed limit and speed cameras are there for a reason, to stop people getting KILLED. If you don't want to be caught by a speed camera then just drive at a sensible speed. I actually think the speed limit on most roads should be reduced by about 5 miles (or more).

This is the first question I've asked here in over a month, I hope I'll get more sensible answers than I did last time I was here....

I think you are right. One funny thing is that the spray does not work. But somebody dumb enough to want to be a speeder is dumb enough to buy it. I think that the people selling things like that should be charged with encouraging a crime and jailed. To bad that stuff doesn't show up in a cops car lights eh?

The car manufacturers selling and promoting 200mph cars should also be rounded up and put in jail for the same reason, with the addition that the execs should get charged with manslaughter or even murder for the death and destruction these things cause. Why would you build a car that fast for roads with 70mph speed limits? Knowing that and how speed kills is it not murder.

I went to vacation in Cancun two years ago. I noticed that everyone drove nuts. I drive aggressive and things they were doing I would not. Then I noticed something else. There were no dents on the cars. They were not all beat up. Why?. Cause they all drove that way. When everyone is driving the same way, speed it is safer...no matter the speed. So, you need to keep up with the flow of traffic if you think people need to not be killed on the road.

If people don't like getting speeding tickets, then they should not speed. Simple as that, if you get caught then you pay the fine. You only have to worry about these things if you are breaking the law.

No. Speed cameras are all about revenue. And, I'm less concerned with fast drivers that I am with elderly and teenage drivers...those two groups cause FAR more accidents.

i think they have put alot of speed cameras in very silly places if they are supposed to be for safety... plus now people are concentrating more on watching for cameras thanwatching the roads ...that doesnt seem very safety orientated to me ...oh and i heard the sprays dont work ...

No, the reason for speed cameras if to make revenue. It is all about money.
