How do I get to accessories in Windows XP so I can defrag?

This OS is new to me. It was easy to find in Windows 98. I know it's in there somewhere, I just can't find it. HELP PLEASE!

    Easy instructions.

Go to My Computer and click on C: or other harddrive then right click to select Properties. I know what you are thinking but please read.... then go to Tools on the Tab. You will find your Defrag located in that list.

    OR...

Go to Start and All Programs through Accessories then System Tools folder. The rest is piece of cake.

Click Start Menu and then go to Accesories. Defragment is under System Tools once you are in Accesories.

its in the same place if you cant find it in the locations above it might not be there to reinstall

right clic the desktop go to new then shortcut

    put this in the textbox

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\dfrg.msc

this should work if not well...... you might have to take your hard drive out and put it into one with disk defragmenter and defragment it however you could then put it into your hd and never have to do it again

Yes. Open 'My Computer'. Right click on the force you wish to investigate. Click on 'Properties'. Choose the Tools tab. You can now click on on 'Error-Checking' or 'Defragmentation' and comply with the instructional materials. Error checking the boot force calls for a restart.
