Bday present ideas for 8 yr old girl?

does she have her own radio? maybe you could get her one, or find out what artist she likes, and get her a couple of cd's. you could get her a gift card to the mall or like walmart, and they have those little teddy bears, or gift card boxes you could put it in, she's still have to open it. does she like jewlery? maybe a birthstone ring would be nice, she's old enough to care for it. (i got one when i was 7).

Make memories! Take her someplace a bit fancier than McDonald's for a special lunch or find a tea room in the yellow pages. Take her to a children's museum or a science center, a play or a puppet show. You can buy the tickets in advance and wrap them up. Tickets to a sporting event--my 8 yr old niece LOVES basketball!! Take a short trip by train to an interesting place. For example I am a couple hours by train from Battle Creek, MI aka "Cereal City USA" where you can tour the factory that cereal is made at. Have fun!!

Wow, what I would not give to be in your shoes! I loved it when my daughter was young like that, it was so much fun at birthdays. She is 24 now, so I basically hand her 500.00 and tell her happy birthday,

I do not know what your budget is but if you can afford it why not take her and 7 of (that will make 8) of her best friends out for a big girls day out?

Take them horse back riding, then out to a "fancy" place for lunch, lunch menus are a lot cheaper than the dinner menus, then take them out for a movie and finish the day with a sleepover and cake and cream.

OR if you would rather have a you and her day why not take her to a day spa? Get her hair done, nails manicured, lunch for 2 at a 4 star restaurant and finish it off with a trip to the book store and let her select the books she wants to have and maybe a quick trip to Pier 1 imports for a cool book shelf? Or how about a trip to Glamor Shots and have both of your pictures taken together to remember the wonderful day you shared?

She will never out grow the wonderful day she spent with mom it will give her a good memory when she needs one, And that my friend never goes out of style

My daughter is also 8 and loves to read for christmas this year she asked for a reading chair and lamp for her room. She also is not allowed to wear make up but we have made the at home exception and allow her to put on make up at home. She has two younger sisters and will only play dress up withthem because that is when she gets to wear makeup. For her birthday this year we got her some really trendy clothes and accessories like hats sunglasses jewelry and a jewelry box. My mom got her a really cool computer game with barbie and horses, maybe you could try something like that. Anyway I hope this gave you atleast one useful idea. Best of luck, this is the toughest age to shop for so far.

It depends on how much money you are willing to spend. A great gift I think is a camera, it doesnt have to be an expensive one you can get a pretty good one for like $30 better ones for a kid would cost about $60 and its something any kid would love, she can take pictures of her memories and get a batter one when shes older.

Or you could get her a few little bits and pices and then also take her shopping.

look up kay bee toys and toys r us websites. toys r us has a catagory area on the left where you can look for toys for a 1 yr old female. at her age, they go thru clothing quite fast, maybe a cute little outfit with shoes to match, if she is in a cold climate, winter is coming soon and maybe a nice snowsuit might be nice or a nice warm blanket to wrap her in. learning toys are always gleefully accepted, the kind of thing that she can sit with and doodle with. young minds get bored fast so it needs to have a lot of things that make sounds and move around or spin and the like. if he is a simple guy and is known to by necessity items then a really large box of diapers in her size would also be a welcome gift.

Set her up with her own "Art Studio". You can spend a ton of money on Paper, colored pencils, markers, watercolors (real ones), acrylics, good quality art paper (for watercolors), an easel or drafting table, books on 'how to', or painting lessons.--go to an art store and go crazy. Or to spend less-- a sketch book and colored pencils!

My 8 yr. old loves making pot holders. There are sorts of 'craft kits', like sewing, painting by numbers, painting your own pottery, etc.

Anything that has to do with the Disney Princesses! Sheet set, Comforter, clothes with the princesses on them, Towels with the princesses things like that! My daughter is 8 and she loves anything with the Disney Princesses! I don't know a girl who is not into the princesses! Happy Birthday to your 8 yr old daughter!! GOOD LUCK!

Get her a stereo and some cd's. Take her clothes shopping that is always fun. Go and get a make over the both of you and go take some photos. Or you can have her pick out a new bedroom set (like comforter and sheets).
