I need a flower that will grow in the winter(can grow in a new england winter) and at a realtivly fast.?

It is for a science project and all the flowers that i have seen either grown in the winter, but take a month or two two grow, or vice versa, any suggestions?

Update:

indoors, i know not outdoors

Update 2:

you have to start the science project in the winter since you get everything approved after school begins, that you have to do research, so i did start it on time

Hellebore produces flowers in late fall, winter, or very early spring. When temperatures fall below 15 degrees blooming usually falls off till weather warms. This is the only plant I know of that flowers in the winter. Will it work for you in a New England winter?

Sounds like you didn't start your science project early enough, right? Why not try a sunflower if you have plenty of light.
