Yes, the US Army provides a college loan repayment program. This is NOT offered to people who want to be officers, it is only offered to enlisted personnel. The "fine print" is: provided that you qualify for the bonus, pick a job that is offering that particular bonus, the loans are not in default, AND you complete your training/first term. The program will be initiated upon completion of Basic Training.
I enlisted one young lady who opted for that program, and her loans were paid off for her.

you have a chocie.. you can either take SLRP( max payout $65K) OR you can take the GI Bill($100/month fo r12 months and in retrurn you can get nearly $40K towards education).
so it all depends on which makes the better choice. If you have a large amount of student loans, and have no intention whatsoever of getting a second degree or going for a Masters/Doctorate, than take SLRP. If you thinklyou might want to continue your education, then go for the GI Bill, as well as utilizing TAP while on Active Duty. 100% tuition reimbursement up to I think 18 credits a year.

i don't understand in case you could practice the GI bill to the loans you've already got yet you receives funds you should use for faculty. i'd propose the nationwide take care of particularly in case you would possibly want to correctly be come a MP with the academic you're taking i believe the journey might want to be very positive.

Yes. But read the fine print anyway. Usually the military only does a deal like that for MD's, engineers and high tech fields for the exchange of X number of years service.
It's really a great deal if you are a military kind of person.

This really is true. You take this option instead of a GI Bill. Just make sure that it is in writing in your contract. Tell the recruiter to give you something in writing as well.
