Recently reinstalled xp on my pc?
now my audio device isn't found but yet when i go into sound media etc it says I have Legacy driver. I also installed Sound Max to try and change to this.
I can not change anything .
When I go into audio part it says Modem #1 playback.
I am about ready to turn my Dell 4550 into a boat anchor

Copy and paste this link into your browser.
Just downloading the correct drivers wont necessarily cure your problem.
You will need to uninstall the old drivers you have installed.
You will also need to uninstall the device in Windows XP Device Manager.
After a reboot Windows will notify you that an "Audio Devive was found"
Tell windows to install the drivers but direct it to the location where you saved the new sound driver.
