Did you hear that the 700 miles fence is about to be shortened to *ONLY* 300 miles???

Are the senate on crack??? They sincerely do NOT want to put a stop on illegal immigration...

Update:

ed a, if I look like I am on crack, at least I dont look like a typical "SUIT"....you sound like the typical person who has fallen for all the propaganda that has been spoon-fed to you. Is it that you are *THE* one and only peron who actually is a follower of ann coulter? Thats okay, I will not tell anyone....

Since I seem to be the only U.S. native American indian posting on this thread let me set some of you people straight.

First of you YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR US, so you don't post any more messages pretending that you know what we think about this subject of illegal immigration, YOU DON'T KNOW.

We U.S. native American indians are NOT in support of illegal immigration, and NOT in support of illegal aliens.

    We want illegal immigration stopped.

We want our national borders secured.

We support a fence or wall on the border with Mexico.

We want armed guards at the borders.

And we want mexicans to stop trying to act like this land (U.S.A) "belongs" to mexico, IT DOES NOT, IT NEVER DID, IT NEVER WILL.

i think the recent administration has made it abundantly clear that they are not functioning on the same plane of reality as the rest of us!

although my parents were immgrants, they immigrated LEGALLY in the 70's. someone previously mentioned that employers need to uphold the laws and not hire illegal immigrants and the gov't needs to step in and regulate businesses in this aspect as well, and impose penalties when these policies are violated. i agree with this 100%, because then the problem would fix itself. unfortunately, when it comes to business in the US, the whole "laissez-faire" thing keeps the gov't from actually doing something about it. but it all goes back to what matters the most in this country: profit.

if people can hire illegals and pay them less than a citizen and still pump out a profit, they're winning in the end regardless of what the gov't says. it's sad, really. i just hope it doesn't come down to "immigration raids" like they did in the 80's. i remember going thru downtown LA and seeing the stampede of people from factories and hearing people screaming "la migra!"

but the immigration thing shouldn't just be focused on the souther mexican border. people also come in by boat and plane from europe, africa, asia, wherever! they should be building up the border patrol from all sides, not just oon the mexican side. it's very ironic also that american companies will have their goods manufactured in mexico and imported. you can work for us but god forbid you try to live here!

Well, given that the border is 2,100 miles, a 700 mile fence is pretty worthless to begin with.

They could put a stop on illegal alien traffic by enforcing the laws already on the books. If employers were hit with the maximum fine for employing undocumented workers the jobs and the problem would dry up overnight. Without jobs, we'd be handing them ladders to climb over the OTHER way.

So what exactly is the problem? Are u afraid that the Mexicans and other "foreigners" will do to current Americans what the British and the Dutch did to the Native Americans? Wouldn't that be divine justice -- after all most Mexicans are part or pure Indians, and they were kind of kicked out of the southern part of the USA later on. But I guess that doesn't matter to most people in this country...

No they are not on crack. Are you?

400 miles LESS fencing means the minute men and "military" units on indian reservations along the border can shoot people on the mexico side and not be punished as there was no fence marking the exact border.

a fence is uselss to begin with, a waist of tx payer money, which is already being waisted in Iraq, and congressional salaries! One can easily cut through or climb a fence.

No, the Senate isn't on crack. Maybe more money is needed for Iraq & Afghanistan.

No offense, but you might be by looking at your avatar and that picture of yourself.

Of course not; the Democrats want their fraudulent voters and the Republicans want free labor. They do not want to close the border despite the fact that over 80% of Americans want it. It is impossible to get 80% of Americans to agree on the color of the sky yet the useless morons in DC still do not get it

we need illegal immigrants to join the military,

to justify building more prisons, and to sieze

    the top part of mexico.
