link me to drivers and/or install software fo a sosw-852s liteon slimtype internal drive.?
because i am unable to find anything other than sosw-852sx, and the drive doesn't work properly.
it recognizes the drive, it just won't play burned cds of any sort, but it burns them

I am not able to even find this product on the Liteon website. The sosw-852sx is an external drive. It should not work because the drive is internal. Any internal optical drive should not require driver install.
I am not sure what kind of issue you have. However, sometimes, if you are not able to see the drive, it might be caused by Virus or spyware. Maybe try to scan your computer with antivirus or anti-spyware.
Or maybe the also try to remove the upper filter and lower filter from the registry. That might help. (The link below tells you how to do that).
