Is an American Degree transferable to Ireland?
My husband is from Belfast. He has been living here in the US since 1997. While here he earned a paralegal degree and a degree in Criminal Jusitice. We entertained the idea of moving to Belfast so he can be with family but we are unsure if his degrees will be recognised in Ireland or are they useless? Also what do I have to do as an American citizen to be able to work in Ireland and have our children go to school there? Thank you for any help you can give us.
Ok as I am American what is 11plus? Here the highest grade in school is 12th grade then you graduate then university or college where you can do 2, 4 or 8 years of schooling for a degree. (associates, bacholers, msters and doctorate)
Yes, i told my husband the first reply and he said thats a load of bull, that it is something an 11 year old would do to get onto the next level, just because I'm american doesn't mean Im stupid and I can tell who is being a wanker.

the ii plus is a selective exam kids take at 11. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit here i'm afraid. Any how, if you don't get a sensible answer here call the Irish Education Authority. Any directory enquiries will have the number.

I think and American Degree is transferable as the eqivalent to the 11plus. Best of luck in N.I.
Yes sorry. Just being silly. Get used to if you are going to live in Belfast. They have a great if some what strange humour. Again, Best of luck in N.I. (and I hope you pass your 11 plus)
