What do you think of online dating? Have you tried it? Any success stories?

I've met quite a few people using online dating sites. My current girlfriend and I have been together for 2 1/2 years, and we met on Match.com. Yahoo personals has worked well for me, too. I think the key is understanding that these sites are just tools, they are ways to meet people... the problems arise when some people want to have entire relationships online, that doesn't work. Find people that are close to you geographically, email a few times, talk on the phone a few times, then meet. If it's cool go out again, if not, go out with someone else. It's fun, and exciting... try it, but be careful... listen to your gut feelings about people, read emails carefully, and watch for things that don't ring true. Have fun!

These site are a good way to contact people and stay in touch but always do your homework before any meetings

Never tried it,but think it is cool way of getting to know someone because you get to know them 4 who they are and not judge on the basis of their appearance.

I think it depends on each person. Personally, I'm not into it, but I have had some friends find their mate on internet. You just have to be very careful.

Well, I didn't do online dating, necessarily, but I met my fiance on myspace. We started talking, met a bit later, and things have been great. He treats me and my kids great, my family loves him, his family loves me, ..... We are getting married next May.
