If Iraq is suppose to be "free", should they vote whether or not we should still be there?

After all, they ARE suppose to be FREE NOW, RIGHT?

No, that would give them REAL freedom. We just want them to appear to be free.

Seriously, we need to start withdrawling. We can't hold their hand forever. They need to build their own country. They'll respect it a lot more.

    Good point!

If the Iraqis want freedom, they are going to have to stand up for it and work out their differences eventually. They have that choice: keep fighting amongst themselves for all of eternity or get over it and work it out somehow. I am afraid that all we are doing is delaying the next dictator.

It would be very hard to have a vote in Iraq at this time.

Their leader has asked American troops to leave and/or reduce their levels on 3 separate occasions already.
