Any one have any good African names for a Male Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy?

I have one of these. He is not a puppy anymore. He weighs about 130 pounds and since we knew he was going to be a big dog, we named him Diesel. I think he could pull a plow if he wanted too.

I personally think that Congo is a good name. I can't really think of anything else that sounds African. You may wish to consider thinking outside of the box, like looking around at what other people have named their animals. You could do a search for other Ridgeback owners, and see what they've named their puppies. Or you could even go a little further, check some of the zoos and animal agencies and see what they've named their African animals, like elephants, lions, zebra etc. Many zoos are online now and offer bios of on their residents, and a lot of zoos like to stick with names similar to the region the animals were from. Shaka, from Shaka Zulu the greatest African warrior. Who built the Zulu nation which were the most fearsome warrior ever produce in Africa not only that he was a great strategist. Or Mugabe, from Robert Mugabe from Zimbabwe formerly know as Rhodesia :)
