Why so many kinds of vanilla ice cream at the store: NewYork, French, , etc.? What do they mean?

    some have more fat or more egg yolks and some have the natural bean orf the good mexican vanilla the best is the simplest styles like the least ingrediants like milk cream and eggs and sugar and then just the flavors like vanilla beans or cocoa find what you like and enjoy or try a recipe make your own

    They all have different flavors. Each vanilla depending of hat area comes out has a distinctive flavor.

    Madagascar, Mexico, Hawaii & French-has all the little vanilla beans seeds.

    It means we have an embarassment of riches in America. We are so blessed with prosperity that we actually fret over the best choice for "vanilla" ice cream.

    We have more choices for dog chow in USA than many countries have for their entire grocery stores.
