An effective fence to get immigration done legally?

2 fences a certain distance apart. With antipersonnel mines laid in between the fences. These are very cheap. Put signs in spanish and english and symbols warning people away and have directions on how to come over legally. If death was in the making perhaps illegals would go thru the proper channels and we wouldnt get the riff raff. What do you think?

The fence that is being built by the Minute Man Project in Arizona has two fences with sensors and cameras. The fence that has been approved - awaiting Bush's signature (he has not choice on this one) - will also be two - as the Israeli's have. Your suggestion about landmines is fecicious and overstatement because you know that violates every law known to mankind. But the point is made.

Watch the lingering by the feds over their fence - perhaps they can delay it a couple of years just in time for the Democrats to take full control and black the fences with landmines of their own.

One World, folks. One government Canada - U.S. - Mexico because global businesses will see to it. It was a nice country, the USA.

Fences are not effective against Mexican illegals they will use tunnels, and get a plane ticket and overstay the visa. OTMs Other than Mexicans are not the ones we should concern Americans with. Use Terror Watch list to deny any work, vacation visa to those people and aggressively go after overseas illegals from Europe, Asia, Middle-East . Mexican and Canadian illegal seasonal workers most often and would go home. Overseas stayers outside Mexico and Canada are more likely to stay.

The fence with Mexico is a smokescreen to distort the actual truth on the issue. Most illegals overstay visas, and came in legally with work, and vacation visas. We need more realistic immigration visas for Mexican and Canadian workers, and the one world government information is conspiracy not based on reality of the situation. Fences will not work for illegal immigration, and its easy for a coyote to get a 18 wheel stuff 30 migrants into one.

Finally, its better that immigration migrants are out into the open, and making a fence make it less likely they will go home actually because a lot of migrants are seasonal workers. Need to enforce employer sanactions with more than just fine foriture of company property, fines, freezing of assets, require stricter requirements for people coming in overseas.

Overkill. What is needed is a single WALL, not a fence. The highways have those sound barrier walls. We can construct the same thing along all 2100 miles of the border for not too much more than what they are saying the 700 mile fence will cost.

A 20 foot high concrete wall running 2100 miles should cost around $3,000,000,000 if built along highways. Figure the added cost of getting the material and workers to the building locations and you are up around $6,000,000,000.

Sorry, mines would be against international law. Remember, our border guards can't even fire at someone, even if they are fired upon. Land mines would be nice, but out of the question as long as we have a loser government in office.
