Should modern societies be tolerant towards untolerant groups who dont accept criticism?

Is it right to be tolerant towards fanatic groups who abuse of the tolerant world to promote their agendas while being untolerant themselves to any criticism and have no reciprocity towards those who tolerated them?

It is a fine balance, tolerating ideas but not tolerating behavior that is too destructive. As the saying goes, my freedom to swing my fist stops just short of the other fellow's nose.

Tolerance is in the mind of the tolerator. If you want to tolerate, do it. You ca not change the mind of another thru arguing or fighting. I would walk away to cool off. If they still felt they had something valid to say, try listening again. Tolerance is a gift. It can be renewed.

Sometimes both, I'm afraid. Willful stupidity has always been there as long as we've had humans to be Willfully stupid.. As far as tolerance, sometimes it is but it's better than the alternative.

The word is "intolerant." We shouldn't tolerate lapses of grammar and spelling. Every time you abuse grammar, God kills a puppy.

Why not? If they didn't, they would become what they hate. As long as they don't shed blood, I would leave them alone.
