Can I add Sulfur, Gypsum, and compost to soil at the same time?
I have clay soil with a fairly high ph level that I would like to make better before planting my flower garden. Thank you for any advice you can give.

Hi,
I add Sulfur, Gypsum, and compost to soil at the same time, the Sulfur, Gypsum, are to bring down the "pH", the compost adds the nutrients and filler materials.
Hope this helps, Dave

I do it with alkaline soil....don't know why the sulfur would interfere with compost.....they both are going to make the soil more acidic and the gypsum breaks up the tight soil.

You can add the compost and gypsum, but not the sulfur. I suggest you add the sulfur and wait until after it rains to add the other, otherwise you'll interfere with your composting.

Of course you can.. if your soil calls for it.. I am surprised it calls for sulfur though.
