ok, so i really like this guy and he now knows that i like him. he's really nice and all, but he said the reason he couldn't ask me to a dance is because he really likes this other girl, but she's popular and he's not, but he's liked her for like 4 years! he said he still likes her A LOT. is there anything 'sane' i can do to change his focus or is there anything at all i can do? i really like him a lot, but like i said, he really likes this other girl. what should i do?

no, he's in deep if it's been 4 years already. Move on, he's never going to be emotionally available to you.

well i think you should tell this to his easy (you are not popular so you wont get a girl that is popular )

just be really flirty and seem hard to get but when he gives you attention respond to him but not in a crazy way

leave him alone,
he'll like you more in the end if you do,
who knows, maybe she wont work, and it'll lead you to him.
