I like the feel of a thin necked guitar and always see thick necked ones

I am wondering if you mean "narrow necked" instead of "thin necked". If so, I've also have wondered the same. I like the narrow neck of a "folk" or steel string guitar, but I prefer the feel and sound of a classical guitar. I came to the conclusion that the only way to acquire an instrument like this is to get a regular acoustic steel string guitar and restring it with nylon strings. Actually a steel string guitar has a metal rod running through it to keep the tension of the steel strings from snapping or warping the neck. I think I would take the acoustic guitar to a guitar technician or builder, repair person etc and have him restring the guitar with nylon strings and adjust the neck rod, because the tension created by the nylon strings would be less than the tension created by the steel ones. Other than having a classical guitar custom made for you with a narrow neck which would be expensive, the way I described is the only way I can think of to get a classical guitar with a narrow neck. Playing a narrow neck guitar is simpler than a wide neck guitar. I have never understood why parents start their children off on a full sized wide-necked guitar, when it would be so much easier for them on a narrow necked guitar. Hope this helps. Keep on playing music!

Look for a 3/4 size guitar.? Admira do thinner necks on some guitars. teaching her inversions of chords you could also do, Gmajor as xx543x etc. her hands will stretch eventually to be able to play a fullsize classical guitar, in an old Segovia book he has 8 yr old children playing full 4/4 guitars. and if they can do it...!
