    ti amo

ti odio (you won't say l'odio ... if you hate someone, you won't be polite with them, hence no l' (3rd person)

the reason why the national team is called the azzurri (plural of light blue) might have something to do with the military and/or royal family. I remember reading somewhere that Mussolini wanted to change the team's traditional colours, but out of respect to the royal family/king, he decided not to.

Gigio? ... i have never heard that word. The closest ones are gigione (an actor who tries to get a reaction in a play) and giglio (a type of flower)

i love you - ti amo

i hate you - ti odio

but if you mean it in plural, like 'i love/hate you, guys" it's "vi amo" and "vi odio"

azzurri, double 'r' too, means "(the) blue ones" referred to the color of their equipment :-]

and "giglio" with the "l" (which btw it's pronounced "gilio") means "lily", the flower :-]

    ciao~
