Geoge W. says that the Iraq war will be just a comma in the history books.?
George W. Bush has stated that the war in Iraq will just be a comma in the history books. I would like to see him tell this face to face to the loved ones of our fallen soldiers. Are our soldier's lives that insignificant to him or does his mouth work alot faster than his brain?

It is a pretty horrible thing to say the the blood shed by Americans and by Iraquis will be brushed over in times to come.
I think it will be many years before the war is reduced to only being of interest to historians and even then the events leading up to the war and the war itself will form much more than 'a comma'.
It is like saying "it doesn't matter if we do anything right or wrong now, noone will know in the future".

I am not sure that your quote is correct. I am sure that the Iraq war will not be a footnote in our history. However misguided our president might be, I can not support the idea that he does not care for each life lost. Take a look at his picture when first elected and now. The strain is apparent. I imagine that being the president is one of the most difficult jobs in our nation.
Take a look a other presidents, the wear of the job is apparent. While I do not support the administration's polices, I do think the president cares about our troops and our nation. Sadly, he has made many wrong decisions that have had dire consequences for our nation.

Does his mouth work faster than his brain? I think that is self explanitory!
Cheney does not let soldiers within 50ft, so Bush could never be face to face.
He could be right about the comma in the history books. He who wins a war gets to write them. Do you think we will winn?
England spent 200 years there before Saddam, they did not even become a comma!

How much space does the Korean war get in the average high school history book? Not much. If he said this he was simply referring to the overall picture of important events in US history. He does care about the soldiers and their families and to suggest otherwise shows you do not know the man well enough to judge him. Your parents should be proud of such an arrogant child.

I hope he will also tell the mothers of America that those who fell were nothing more but a fraction of a comma in the history books. I can imagine that this will make mothers feels really good.

This is a true statement as far as history goes. This war is the lessor of all the evils. This war has sustained the fewest deaths of any war, and was one of the easiest takeovers. Yes I know we are not done yet but when it is history will view this war as a blurb just like desert storm, Grenada and others. .

Well, to him it is. Remember in an interview he said the best moment he had in the past 5 years was catching a bass.
He is a fool with blood on his hands.

655,000 Iraqi seems like a significant number to me. 3000 American troops are more significant. He hopes it will be a comma, but his evil hands will be exposed right behind it. Worse mass killer of the 21st century.

He's quite right. It's the comma seperating "stupid (comma) and endless" -- as in "stupid, endless war."
