Doc said ultra sound shows not enough fluid around baby....will everything be OK?

A year ago I misscarried twins GS 12wks 3 days and 12wks 4 days, I do not have any children.

I had an ultra sound done at 8wks 4days, I'm now 10 weeks 2 days along and just saw my doc at 9 wks 4 days....when I went in for the ultra sound the lady doing it said heart rate is good and gest. size was same as LMP 8wks 4days, she told me everything appears fine.....when I just saw the doc he said there might be a problem from looking at ultrasound....not abnormally low amount of fluid but not as much as they like to see....

My friends mom is a nurse that takes care of premature babies and she told me that this is a common thing that happens in this time frame in pregnancy and not to worry but almost everything that I read relates to poor kidneys/lungs and basically pregnancy failure...I'm worried but want to know from expierance, can any of you give me some insight.....will things be ok or should I prepair for the worst again?

Well the Dr will obviously do widespread ultrasounds to track you fluid and result in if the stages get to low. Make definite to stick hydrated because the water you drink can support refill the fluids usually (now not always). Get your self ready to handle a smaller youngster and do just what your Dr says. Everything will have to be good enough, my pal had low fluid and was once brought about at 34 wks considering it simply saved getting decrease.

I'm sorry I really dont know. I just wanted to say I can understand your fears, I am 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant but I have had 5 miscarriages. I would suggest you go and see your dr to discuss these fears and try to put your mind at reast as constant worrying wont do you any good!

I wish you the best of luck and I hope everything turns out fine!

You should be ok. The same exact thing happened to me with my youngest son and I carried him almost full term. The doctors ended up inducing me 3 weeks early but my son was very healthy and normal. He was only 5lbs. 13oz. but not too small. I was still able to take him home with me on time. Just be very careful moving around because with out enough fluid your baby doesn't have as much cushioning in there... that is what the doc told me so I would just take it as easy as possible through this pregancy. GOOD LUKC

How much water do you drink in a day? You probably need to take more fluids in. Not soda, milk, juice, "kool-aid" or coffee but plain water or herbal "tea".

Soaking in water will help too. Take up swimming for excercise. It's especially nice during the final weeks of pregnancy. If you can't swim, soak in a tub.

Lack of fluids usually means you need more fluids. So be proactive and give your baby and your body the fluids they need.

    Good Luck!

no one can say if things will be okay, sometimes it is and sometimes its not, i measured too much fluid which if you google the two conditions you will see both are very dangerous to the health of the baby. i had another scan done a few weeks later and the fluid had gone back to normal.

ITS GONNA BE JUST FINE. MY FRIEND HAD THE SAME PROB BUT SHE JUST HAD THE BABY EARLY. THAT FLUID THING IS COMMON AND YOU SHOULDN'T WORRY B/C IM SURE IT'S GONNA BE ALRITE, SO JUST PRAY AND RELAX.
