At what age is it appropriate for a person to make a Will or have Advanced Directives?

Advanced directive or living will can be created at any age above majority, it really has nothing to do with age or assets, It has to do with a person's individual values relating to being resusitated and aided by machines for life support. If someone has a do-not-resuscitate clause in their living will then it is binding and usually is supported by the doctors and courts, although it may be controversial to the family in many cases.

A asset-based will should be administered whenever a person or family owns a home or property, life insurance, and other assets such as stocks, bonds, automobiles, etc. to divide among their successors.

There is no prescribed age for making a Will.

A will is the wish of a person to be carried out after the life of the person in respect of things which are owned or over which the person has full unconditional control.The way you want your things to be used/utilised after your life is advisable be reduced into writing in the form of will or advance directive in case you have apprehensions that uncertainty may spoil your aim of life.Thus the day you set your goals of life after attaining majority you should write your will and keep the same updated according to your objectives and goals in life till you get the last possible opportunity.

as soon as a person turns 18, they should have an advanced directive of some kind--you never know when something terrible could happen, and having one in writing takes an ENORMOUS burden off of your family.

Get one at 18, and update it every few years.

As for a will, as soon as you own significant property or have a significant savings, make one. Update it every time you aquire more or go through a significant life event (marriage, have a kid, etc.)

I don't think age has a lot to do with when we should make a will. We never know when we are going to leave this world, no matter what the age.

If you have things that you want certain people to have when you're gone, then you should have a will. Or do like me, give it to them while you're living, That's what I've been doing.

I think they wiill appreciate it more and you will be able to see it.

I think it's appropriate at any age when you feel that this is something that is important to you. You are never too young. Who knows what could happen tomorrow.

It's not the age that is important, it's the assets. Anytime you have assets, you should have a will.

As soon as there is any finance or inheritances involved

as soon as you are legal. you can always update it.
