These days it's probably cheaper just to buy a new one...because the repair could cost almost as much, if not more than the cost of a new player.

it really depends on the quality of the dvd player. if it is a $20000 Meridian, then get it fixed. if it is just a $30 Cyberhome, replace it. the best place to have a dvd player serviced, if from the manufacturer, again only worth it, if it is a high dollar player(more than $500).

I don't, but as an educated guess, it would probably cost more to fix one than to buy a new one.
