What do you think the voter turn out will be like in 2008?

It is rumored that there will be an African American candidate running for election. Do you think this will sway turnout? Not racist!

It is too early to estimate what the turnout will be. Until the candidates are known it would only be a guess. President Bush will be gone so a lot will depend on who steps up on the Republican side. For now it is wide open for both parties. Your guess is probably as good as the most consciences pollster at this time.

Turnout will be pretty good, around the numbers from 2004 when 121 million voted. Voter turnout will be higher if Hilary wins the nomination because she will bring out the voters in both parties (love her or hate her). I wouldn't put too much stock in Obama running and winning the nomination this time around. While he's one of the Dem's rising stars he doesn't have much experience (2 years in the senate, 7 as a state senator).

It depends on the candidates and the issues. If we have a REALLY GOOD candidate turnout will be fantastic. I was amused that you had to defend youself when you referren to a black candidate. You don't your comments were written well and if anyone would take offense they have a BIG TIME Problem

The turnout will be massive and the voters will be more polarized than ever. Is there something out there that is neither red or blue?

I saw that on the news. I think it would be great to have a black man or woman running for President. The color of their skin shouldn't make a difference but it will. I just hope it won't be the start of whites being slaves

The question on many people's mind is, with all the past fraudulent vote counts in favor of Republicans, especially since Bush's administration, why vote? Why, indeed.
