If someone has the right answer, why do people continue to post?

I know people see the right answer listed (sometimes they don't).

Why do they post over and over. C'mon there is no reason for this, the answer is there already. Unless you have something to add or a clearer description, this is pointless.

In a chance to have theirs chosen as best answer and for the two points.

Actually there are times when the answers are posted at the same time. You may see a question no one answered yet and try to answer it. Someone else may of just submitted an answer while you are typing yours. (That happens a lot)

They will keep posting until someone tells them what they want to hear. Sometimes the truth is too hard to bare so, they ask over and over again until someone tells them something they wanted to hear in the first place. It is especially true in these relationship questions like "Do I stay with him even though he has cheated on my 11 times in the last month?" And everyone answers get rid of the bum. So they ask it again and everyone answers the same way except one other delusional person who says "Oh stay with him, he will change." And Poof that person gets the best answer. It really is an easy to get best answer points if you think about it. Just answer the questions the way they want to hear. I know it is crazy but it's true.. Actually it is pathetic. Just my opinion though. Take care friend.

Maybe they are hoping it goes into "In Voting" and they can vote

on their own answer as Best but surprise if you give the same

simple answer you'll have a hard time finding yours because they

take away the ID when it's in voting. I always leave a little clue so

I can tell it's mine. Look at the Baseball category and all the

questions "Who's going to win the Series?" They shouldn't let

the same question be posted at the same time. Most people are

just doing it for the 2 points for answering.

Because they may have a different perspective to share with the questioner.

Because they can still accumlate points. They might luck up and get best answer from the look of their avatar or picture.

Because they might step out of protocol and provide a silly/humourous answer that makes the questioner laugh.

The questioner may have put the quetion(s) on the floor to see how many would respond. Yep, CLOSED ended questions will generate only a correct response. Therefore Y!A participants should strive for OPEN ended where one can receive opinated answers.

    For the 2 points.

    ur right

but most people do that to earn 2 points, and whats really annoying is when others post the same answer but with some decorations (a** kissing) hoping to impress the asker and get 10 points instead of 2.

Many times there is no answer when you view the question but by the time you compose and send an answer so have several other people.

I usually answer the question to support the correct answer.
