What is a courgettes?

I saw this in an answer to another question and I've never heard of it, so I'm hoping somebody can help me out!!

    It's zucchini!!!

    In England also zucchini are called courgettes, by the French name, while aubergines are eggplant.

    A vegetable. It's a small squash, like a Zucchini.
