Why does he call more when he knows I'm mad, then when I'm not?

Fear. When you're mad you act differently like you are going to leave him.. He's afraid of losing you.. so he calls more often.

He cares about you and doesn't want you to be mad at him. In fact, he can't stand for you to be upset with him. Can't say whether or not he wants romance but one way to find out would be to distance yourself. Don't pick up your phone every time he calls or agree to make plans with him every time he wants to. Busy yourself with other things, even if it's just taking a shower or watching t.v. You don't have to tell him what your plans are. Let him wonder a little. Nothing saying that you can't casually date another guy or two in the meantime. Just be prepared for the possibility that your friend is telling you the truth in that he doesn't feel the way he used to about you. Respect yourself enough not to let yourself want what you can't have and be glad for the friendship, unless it's hurting more to be friends and you're just waiting on the sidelines for him to "realize that he really does love you." If that's the case, better to cut ties altogether, at least for a while.

he calls more when you're mad coz he cares. the question of whether he really loves you or not cannot be judged just by how many time he calls you. the one who know whether he really love you is you, himself and God. make the right decision...dont waste and dont be wasted.
