I really like the Sounblaster X-FI Platinum. it is fully featured, and even with the cheap logitech 6.1 speakers I have, the sound is sooo much better than the onboard sound. It also comes with a remote for some models, and a panel for the front of your PC that fits in a CD/DVD drive bay.
I've also heard good things about the AuzenTech XMYSTIQUE7.1
