If it's a straight forward interview, the things that are typically asked are:

- What are your strengths and weaknesses (and don't say you don't have any weaknesses...rather point out a weakness and show how you overcome it)?

- Where do you see yourself in 5 (or 10) years?

- Name a project or project(s) that you are particularly proud of. When answering this question, be sure to list some challenges and show how you dealt with those challenges.

- How do you handle presssure?

- How do you work in team environments?

Tell them to look the interviewer in the eyes when they talk to them, firmly shake hands. Ask questions about the position, this to me ensures the applicant is interested in what they will be taking on.

Ask them when they are looking to make a decision. Let them know you will follow up on a certain date and follow through. That will let them know you have initiative and are a go-getter.
