Question for the married couples?

For those of you who have married for a few years, do you develop a rythem in your marriage between you and your spouse? I mean for example, me and my husband, sometimes we don't have to talk, we just know what eachother want based on the body language. And it's the rythem only you guys know, other people won't even understand what it means.

Update:

what's that rythem that you developed over the years?

My wife & I will celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary on Nov 2nd. Sometimes she accuses me of "getting into her head".

We can finish each others sentences as well.

So I guess you could say that we have a rhythm.

all kinds...it just depends on the situation. You don't have to be married to have that though, we had it long before we got married.

When we're listening to a song in the car we will both (at the same time) yell out about two or three words of the song. LoL....we didn't sing any other part of the song but those few words and we did it together. We just look at each other and laugh.

In certain things we have a rythm, in others, we don't have a clue what each other is thinking. lol

Lately it's wierd, we will both be thinking the same thing at the same time, and I could be at work and her at home, school or work, but I also think it's neat.

I think because we have worked at developing our relationship that we are able to have those kinds of rythms. And after a while reading your partners body language gets easier.

Yes, been married 19 years to my best friend. Somedays we are quiet, somedays we play games and talk and talk. It's up and down, but always relaxed. We always have each others back, and we're there for each other. I

t's not an "obsessive" need for each other's presence at every single moment........we are not into that. It is a rhythm, and it's sweet and right. And especially when we are out or at relatives, all it takes is a look......best wishes!!

We've been married awhile now and don't have that. She knows me better than I know her. I make mistakes which she has learned. When I want something and accidentally choose the wrong word at the dinner table, she knows which food to pass instead of what I asked for. I never got the words corn and carrots confused until after we married, but at least she knows now when I mean corn and when I mean carrots without regard to what actually comes out of my mouth.

Absoloutely - the hubby and I have been married for 3 years now, and we were together for 6 years before that. The more we get to know eachother, the closer knit this "rhythym" becomes. Don't expect, though, that they'll ever become to 100% read your mind. Expect that you'll stilll have to speak your mind and share your feelings, thoughts, and wishes.

We are so in sync that we both say the exact same thing at the exact same time, so many times we are starting to stare at each other in wonderment. She'll be thinking she wants to eat Chinese or something and I'll blurt it out just seconds before she has a chance. However, she has taken to smacking me every time it happens. "You know I like the rough stuff" ;) 18 years of smacking! Wow, I'm sore.

i have been married for 26 years and we have that to a certain extent but i also have that with some friends and family i think it has a lot to do with spending time together the more time you spend with anyone the more you finish sentences and just know what they want or mean

Yep it certainly is a married thing. My husband and i generally know what the other is thinking, and what the other is wanting to say in public when you have to keep your thought to yourself sometimes. It can be fun, but on the same token when your mad they suddenly can't figure you out.

My husband and I have been married for 6 years and he still hasnt figured me out. He never knows what I want. So if you can figure out your spouse good for you.
