Can anyone tell me what year my Browning Auto-5 shoot gun made in Begium is based on the serial number?
I got this gun from my grand father. It list a serial Number of 102349 with a FN in a circle above it. It states “Made in Belgium” on the side and “** 16 special steel” on the side of the gun barrel. It also only shots 2 9/16 long shells.
May help would be greatly appreciated.

Below is the Browning web-site with serial number/manufacture date information.
Make certain when you check the serial number, to note whether there is a letter directly above the serial number ... it is critical to the dating process!
Oh, by the way, never share the full serial number of a firearm on the net, put XXX for the last 3 digits ... the last thing you want is someone claiming you stole their firearm ...
