BCS Scenario. What do you think?

The "goal" of the BCS is to have #1 play #2.

Let's say Ohio State beats Michigan by failed 2 point conversion in triple OT.

In my opinion, the BCS Championship should be Michigan vs. OSU in a rematch. If you are #2 in the country for a month like Michigan would be and lose to #1 team, that would still make you #2. A real playoff would make this easier. Thoughts?

Again, something has to change. Does losing to Ohio State make you BETTER than an unbeaten team, who hasn't had the opportunity to prove their worth ? I don't know. You could argue either way. I think that having Michigan play OSU 2 games in a row, especially if the 1st is close, would make for a better game than OSU playing an undefeated Louisville or West Virginia team.I also think that something should happen to clarify final rankings, but a playoff would get too confusing. Take Texas for example, going into this past weekend, their only loss was to the Buckeyes, and they were looking real good. I think that they would have a valid argument to making the '' playoff ''. Both Texas and Michigan would have lost to the #1 team, how do you send Michigan and not Texas ? Michigan has only been ranked higher because of their undefeated record, which at the end would look just like the Texas record. 1 loss to the Bucks. Going on that, how would you say that Michigan was better ? Texas has only improved and until given the chance to prove it, could be better than the Bucks now. Michigan , if they lose to the Bucks in the season ender, have proven that they are not as good as Ohio State , NOW !, not 8 weeks ago. Yes, Texas looked bad this past weekend. It was only an example of my point.though. There are too many possibilities and too little time to make all happy.

That's debatable. Texas could also make the same contention. Texas has only been beaten by Ohio State. I think almost everyone agrees that there should be a playoff. I think it's just a matter of when they finally make it happen. If Michigan gets beat on their final game, no matter how close the game is, I think you will see OSU vs. USC for the national title, providing USC doesn't lose in the meantime.

I doubt that the NCAA would have the national championship be a rematch of the last regular season game. It seems likely now that, if WVU can beat Louisville and Rutgers, they will face whoever loses the OSU - Michigan matchup.

You're probably right. Considering if Michigan's only loss was to the #1 team, that should still leave them at #2. Don't even get me started on a playoff system for NCAA Div. 1 Football. Bottom line is, the "BCS" conferences & TV networks won't make as much $$$,$$$,$$$ if there was a playoff system... bastards.

Depends greatly on the other teams if UWV or UL are still undefeated I don't see how you give a second shot to a team that lost to OSU already. Now if everyone other the OSU has one loss it might happen but I doubt it more likely Florida or somone else gets the nod.

Yeah we need a playoff, but why do you think that none of the Big East teams, and there are three Undefeated, can remain Undefeated. Thursday Louisville vs West Virgina. If the winner beats Rutgers and Pitt they proably should stay undefeated. I wouldn't totally write Pitt off since it plays both games at home if I am not mistaken. Espically since it wants the upset like that. Espically since they aren't totally out of the Big East race. Come on they just need to win out, have Rutgers lose WVU and Louisville and suddenly Pitt wins the Big East. Yeah unlikely scenerio BUT they have to hope it happens and they have to work on their end.

No the woolveweenies would NOT deserve a second shot at Ohio State!!! Under this current Bull Crap System, someone else should get a shot at The Best Damn Team In The Land.

I agree that NCAA division 1-A Football NEEDS a PLAYOFF system NOW!!!!! I have been saying that for YEARS NOW!!!!!!!!!

    GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!
