Our vet recommended a product called "Revolution" for our dogs this summer. It kills and repels fleas, ticks, ear mites, and mosquitos. Both our dogs have done great since we treated them. The product doesnt cost awhole lot, but you cant get it in a regular store. Talk to your vet. :)

Brewers Yeast you can get it at any local pet store or maybe at petsmart. It comes in a powder or a pill form, my dogs eat it in their dog food and sometimes by itself (like a treat) they like them that much. It has garlic in it and it will help the mosquitos and you will never have a problem with fleas. You have to feed it every day. very inexpensive.

Be sure to give your dog heartworm medication as prescribed by your vet. Your dog can get heartworm from mosquitos. We use Interceptor at our practice.

I use regular mosquito repellant for people on my dog. Just spray it about five inches away, and not near their face.
You might want to talk to your vet about something stronger though. Mosquito bites can cause many diseases in dogs, so make sure your pet is up to date on distemper, parvo, and especially heartworm!!!!

You can put garlic powder on their food every meal. Frontline will normally work too. I do not recommend putting regular bug spray on the dog because their skin is much more sensitive than a humans. Even though you think it is only going on its coat, it will get on the dogs skin, and it will irritate it most defiantly!

Something non-poisonous is Citronella. You can buy the plant cut clippings off if it and rub your dog down with it also attach a piece of the plant to your dogs collar. You can also buy organic spray, but don't get spray with chemicals in it it would be harmful for the dog is ingested.

I use neem oil mixed with water, shake it up and mist it on the dogs. Its natural, works fairly well, but does stink something awful.
I think Petco might carry it.
