Question about getting tubes tied?

I had a tuba reversal done in may. It is harder to have them untied I had to have an incision that was about 6 inches long and the recovery period for me was horrible I had 12 staples and was in a lot of pain. The Dr told me that it can be done laparoscopicly but in his 30 years of doing the surgery he had better success rate with the way he did mine. Now after the reversal there are no guarentees that you will get pregnant. You run a higher risk of ectopic pregnany. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnany since my 6 week check up and I became pregnant last month but it ended in a miscarriage. I am not sure that it was caused by having the surgery but I have talked to alot of woman that have had the surgery and they have had miscarriages too. I was 24 when I had my tubes tied and am now 30 I regreted to from the day I did it. So it is something that you should think really hard about before you do it. Like I said before you are fertile now and it you get you tubes tied then decide that you want them undone the surgery does not guarentee that you will become pregnant.

If you get your tubes tied and then decide when you're 34 that you want a reversal it will be a costly invasive procedure which may not result in you being able to conceive for two reasons. One reason is that the longer you wait to do the reversal the more damage there is to the tubes and the second reason is that even if advancing maternal age could also contribute to difficulty conceiving or a combination of the two factors. If you aren't sure you can always use long term birth control. Good luck.

don't have a c area just to have your tubes tied. Having that carried out does not require surgical treatment anymore. They make a small hollow on your abdomen button and do it arthroscopicly. communicate it over along with your wellness care professional . yet maximum cases they'd do it after transport. stable success

If you think you might want to have another child, you might want to consider an IUD. Your doctor puts it in(you can't feel a thing!) and it's good for 5 years. It's a lot cheaper to have that taken out than it would be to have a tubal reversed. (the whole thing is cheaper!) Plus, you never know if a tubal reversal will work.

I wouldn't get my tubes tied unless I was 100% sure that i was done having kids. Insurance isn't going to pay for the reversal and there is no guarantee that it will work. Maybe you should consider and IUD??

There is a new tuble ligation now where there is no cutting, it is a plastic device that is put in your fallopian tubes so that skin will grow over and there is no release of a egg. For more information you can look on the Planned Parenthood website.

i have my tubes tied and i'm 24yrs old but i have a 8yr old,6 1/2yr old and a 18month baby so i don't want mine to come untied, but u have to let your doctor know what you want to do because u'll have to get cut open again for them to untie it, just take some kind of birth control that will help, don't take the pill,do the shot or something..

It's quite difficult to get a sterilization reversal. It is also expensive. What's more, it doesn't always work.
