My hubby and I had a big blow up yesterday, because he thinks I give my kids anything and everything they want (which is SO far from the truth...). Anyway, my kids get $160.00 a month each from social security disability (because their biological father is on disability). I also receive $345.00 a month in child support from my ex. YES, I buy them SOME of the things they want, but always make sure their NEEDS are met first, and then I usually use what is left to pay bills. The problem is, my husband is pissed off because HIS kids don't get some of the things my kids get or get to do some of the things my kids get to do. My argument is that the SSD they get is THEIR money, and I should be allowed to "spoil" them a little with it.(it's nothing major...my 9 yr old is playing football and it cost $60.00....that is what he made the biggest deal about, because his 10 yr. old didn't get to play fall baseball cause we didn't have $55.00 to pay for it, and yes, his mother works and could have

I am trying to download Microsoft office(60 day free trial). My computer is telling me it is going to take 30 hours. Is there any way to make it go faster(other than getting better internet...we live in the boonies, and People PC is about as good as it gets out here!)

Has anyone ever experienced this with their child, and what was the outcome? The orthopedic doctor said he would most likely outgrow it by the time he is 3,(he is 16 months now) but I am concerned he won't. Any serious answers would be appreciated! Thanks

I took my 6 year ld step-daughter to get her ears pierced for Christmas. When we got home, I discovered she had stole something from the store ( a finger watch). She lied and told her father I bought it for her. I think she actually had herself convinced I did! I made sure he KNEW I DID NOT buy it! I made her take it back to the store, and tell the manager she stole it. My husband made her write 50 times "I will never steal again". My question is...How do I get over it??? It has been 6 months, and I can't believe how angry I still am about it!!! I told her if she EVER does it again,I will take her straight to the police station. Am I just being over stressed about it, should I just forget about it? I just can't seem to let it go. Do you think her punishment was enough? Serious answers ONLY please.

I just read a posting from a mom asking us to report to www.cybertipline.com for all the pervs on here talking about kids. The "thing" (I can't think of what they call it) that keeps the door from flying open and slamming shut, keeps pulling out of door jam. The holes are stripped. What can I use to keep this from happening?? My father in law told me to put match sticks in the holes, but did not work.
