Downloading Microsoft Office?
I am trying to download Microsoft office(60 day free trial). My computer is telling me it is going to take 30 hours. Is there any way to make it go faster(other than getting better internet...we live in the boonies, and People PC is about as good as it gets out here!)

Dial up is really hard to download anything from, especially something that extensive.
But you should download a free version of Open Office,
if you dont think you'll be buying Office.
Open office is free, and has all the tools that office has, in it's trial version.

Yes that's true that it will take lot of time to you to download MS office using the DialUp , but still can download it by using download accelerator , so even u can stop downloading if u don't have much time and later when u have time or u are doing some other job on Internet it will starts downloading it self with out interrupting you and Ur work. so u may download it with out any hurdles,

It is almost impossible to download any big software using dialup. If the website allows you to order CDs then that is the way. Otherwise ask a friend who has broadband, to download and burn the CD for you. I do not see any easy way to download big software like this using dialup. The only remote possibility would be to use a download manager like the "Free download manager". This will increase the download speed slightly and also allows you to resume a broken download.

Unfortunately if you are using a dial-up connection, no there isn't a way to download it any quicker unless your ISP offers what they call , 'accelerated' dial-up. This is achieved by boosting web browsing speeds up to five times faster than using a standard dial-up connection, by compressing and optimising text and graphics on a web page.
Alternatively download OpenOffice. It's only 92MB

Well, not much you can do about that. I don't recommend getting the 60 day trial, instead get Office 2007 Beta 2, which is available from here: http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/beta/getth...

you'd be more effective constructive served to purchase somewhat than acquire. in case you get an unlawful replica, you isn't waiting to get properly of entry to updates or fixes. in case you acquire a valid replica and locate the favor to uninstall and reinstall, you'll locate it a soreness to finish. more effective constructive to purchase this technique with CD and product key. then you certainly will be sturdy to head.
