what does 'this answer is below your threshold" mean?

When an answer falls below a -2 rating, it is no longer displayed (although you can change that part of the display for ALL ANSWERS)

When an answer is given low rating by other participants then it is hidden. The default setting is -2, that means if you get 2 more thumbs downs than thumbs ups then your answer will be hidden. But you can change your default setting to see all answers by clicking the drop down menu at the right hand corner of the first question.

Other users have given those answers more than two thumbs up, and Yahoo! thinks that the rest of us don't want to read something that someone doesn't really rate. If you want to view all answers, just click the appropriate choice from the drop down menu above the answers.

It means that people have already not liked that answer and gave it at least 2 thumbs down but if you still are curious about reading it you can click on it.

It means that you have it set to only show answers rated higher than 2 thumbs-ups, and that particular answer has a bunch of thumbs-downs.

I've just been trying to figure that one out too. Probably if we click on discover at the top of the page, we might find out. I just haven't bothered doing this yet. When you find out, let me know.
