Is it cheaper to buy liquor/tobacco in Ohio or Kentucky?
I'm heading through Cincinnati down into Kentucky real quick, and was wondering if it was worth stopping to make a purchase while I run an errand down there.

Kentucky for sure. You save probably 20-25% on liquor. Not sure about cigs. You can buy liquor much cheaper retail than you can buy liquor in OH wholesale with a liquor license. Check out liquor stores in KY vs. OH. You will be amazed how much Ohio citizens are getting screwed, not only on price but also on variety and service.

I live in Ohio but go to KY to buy liquor when we're going to stock up for a party or holidays. It's probably not worth the savings these days, with the price of gas, to go to purchase a bottle.
But if your'e making a purchase of any size, I think it's worth it.
It is cheaper.

Years ago, it use to be lots cheaper to buy your cigarettes in Kentucky, but keep in mind that it is illegal to transport across state lines. I lived in Cincinnati and most of the cigarette smokers I knew living in Cincy would cross the river and buy their cigs in Kentucky. Of course that was quite a few years ago. Not real sure how it works, now. Good luck, just the same.
Cheers!

Kentucky, most counties have a lower sales tax in KY than they do in Cincinnati.
